Baylor Women's Correctional Institution

Baylor Women's Correctional Institution is located in New Castle Delaware.  It is currently the only state prison that houses women in the state, and it holds both female inmates who are awaiting trial, and female inmates who have already been sentenced.  Because of this, inmates incarcerated at Baylor Women's Correctional are of a mixed custody made up of minimum, medium, and maximum security offenders.

Baylor Women's Correctional Institution has many vocational and educational opportunities that inmates are encouraged to participate in.  Drug treatment and therapy, religious services, counseling, and recreational activities are some of the things inmates can benefit from during their incarceration.

Visiting Hours at Baylor Women's Correctional Institution:

Anyone wishing to visit an inmate may do so by filling out a visiting application and waiting for approval.  Once approved you can visit an inmate by calling in advance to schedule an appointment for visitation.  

• You can only setup appointments Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday by calling 302-577-5837 between the hours of 9am-3pm.
• Visiting days and hours are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at the following times: 10am-11am, 11:30am-12:30pm, 1pm-2pm, 2:30pm-3:30pm.
• Visiting is up to one hour in duration.  
• Inmates may have up to 3 visitors for the hour, or 3 visitors the first half hour of the visit and 3 different visitors the second half hour for a total of six visitors.
