Bibb Correctional Facility

Bibb Correctional facility houses over 1900 inmates across a variety of custody levels.  Inmates housed at this facility can receive on site medical and dental care through the Bibb medical infirmary as well as educational and substance abuse programs that are geared towards the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates.

When an inmate first arrives at Bibb Correctional facility they can expect to be photographed and then finger printed, followed by a dental and physical examination.  This is usually followed by a psychological evaluation and classification.  Inmates can expect to answer questions about their drug and alcohol use/abuse as well as their criminal history.  This is also where inmates will be assigned any programs needed to complete their education, or vocational training.  This process will generally take two weeks, and an inmate may be unable to receive mail or make phone calls during this period.
