Correctional Industrial Facility

Opened in 1985, the Correctional Industrial Facility is a medium security institution that can house 1,443 adult males.  The prison is located in Pendleton Indiana, and houses inmates in cells.  Inmates at this facility are employed in partnership with a brake refurbishing factory.  Inmates can earn credentials from five apprenticeship programs including certification in the following areas: Aramark, ICAN, PEN Products, Animal Trainer, and Physical Plant.

Offenders can also work in a variety of support crews doing maintenance, culinary work, sanitation and grounds/landscaping.  Inmates can also take academic courses to earn their GED.  One of the more unique programs this facility offers is the chance for inmates to be paired with cats and dogs that are awaiting adoption.

Visiting Hours at Correctional Industrial Facility:

Visiting occurs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3pm.  Visits are a maximum of three hours on weekdays and two hours on weekends.  Remember to contact the facility to ensure visitation has not been canceled for the day at the number below.  Visitation is usually only canceled for an emergency like a lock down.
