Apalachee Correctional Institution, East Unit

Apalachee Correctional Institution East Unit is located in Sneads Florida.  It currently can house over 1,300 adult male inmates.  It is a level V facility and has closed custody, medium custody, and minimum custody inmates.

Apalachee Correctional Institution East offers a variety of programs.  Inmates are encouraged to participate in the education, vocational, and treatment programs that are made available to them, as this can aid in their rehabilitation and successful reintegration with society once they are released.  Inmates can earn a basic adult education, GED, and learn to read.  Vocational programs include auto body repair, landscaping, housekeeping, woodworking and cabinetmaking.  Substance abuse programs, anger management and money and business courses are also available.

Visiting Hours at Apalachee Correctional Institution, East Unit:

In order to visit an inmate at this facility you must have first filled out a visitors application and it must be approved.  

• Visiting is on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time)
• Registration for visiting begins at 8:15 a.m. on both days.
• Visitors will not be processed after 2:00 p.m.
• Visitors are allowed to park in designated spaces no earlier than 7:30 a.m., please do not arrive before 7:30am.
