Arizona State Prison Phoenix West is a minimum custody facility that houses approximately 500 male inmates.  Some of the programs this institution offers are substance abuse treatment and educational opportunities.

Inmates incarcerated here can get a basic adult education (9th grade equivalent) and can even earn a GED (high school equivalent education).  This facility is privately run by a company out of Florida called the GEO Group.

Visiting Hours at Phoenix West:

Visiting days for inmates at Arizona State Prison Phoenix West are on Saturdays and Sundays in two blocks.  The first block is from 8am and goes until 12pm noon.  The second block of visitation starts at noon and goes until 4pm.  The duration of a visit will depend on what phase the inmate is currently in.  Inmates in Phase I are allowed a single four hour block of visitation on either day.  Phase II inmates are allowed three 4 hour blocks on either day.  Phase III inmates are allowed 4 four hour blocks on either day.  If you arrive for the first block of visitation after 10:30am you will not be allowed to visit.  If you arrive for the second block of visitation after 3pm you will not be allowed to visit.  Non-contact visitation is by appointment only, you must call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule your visit.
