Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center
Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center is responsible for the intake and classification procedure for most inmates in the state. Because this is an intake facility, the inmate is usually only housed here a short period of time, and then transferred to their more permanent location after they are classified. Inmates who have entered into the Central Booking and Intake Center are stripped of their property and given inmate clothes. Friends/family can pick up the possessions of inmates for up to three days after initial booking at 301 East Eager Street 24 hours a day seven days a week. You will be required to produce photo identification. After three days the items are moved to Jail Industries Building at 531 East Madison Street, it is open Monday-Friday 10am-2pm for the pickup of inmates possessions, again photo ID will be required to receive the items.
Visiting Hours at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center:
Because this is an intake and booking center, inmates are only allowed visits from friends and family after 60 days of incarceration. Visiting occurs on Sundays from 9am-3pm. Attorneys can visit 7 days a week 24 hours a day and do not need to wait 60 days.
