Bryan Federal Prison Camp

Bryan Federal Prison Camp is a minimum security prison camp located in Bryan, Texas, part of Brazos County. The prison holds up to 826 female inmates. Inmates are required to participate in work assignments or educational courses. Inmates can work in the kitchen, preparing vegetables and meats. Other work assignments include mechanics, carpenters, clerks, janitors, tutors, and librarians. Inmates can also perform work assignments through Federal Prison Industries, which involve work at a call center, or performing operations with catalog distribution and the processing of patents.

Bryan Federal Prison Camp offers several education programs, These programs include the General Education Development Program, English as a Second Language, post secondary education through community college, and parenting programs. Inmates are involved in other programs such as the Residential Drug Treatment Program and ACCESS, a dog training program. Inmates can also become apprentices under different programs such as cosmetology, dental works, and horticulture. Inmates are encouraged to better their lives through learning. 

Visiting Hours at Bryan Federal Prison Camp:

Visiting hours at Bryan Federal Prison Camp are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On federal holidays, visiting will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, you must arrive by 3:00 p.m and on federal holidays, visitors should arrive by 1:00 p.m. An inmate is allowed to have up to five children visitors and five adult visitors at one time. Only 570 people, including children, are permitted in the visiting room at one time. Visits may be terminated early if overcrowding occurs. Visitors may bring up to $40.00 for purposes of the vending machines only, and this money should be kept in a clear, plastic bag. Plastic bags must not exceed a 4x4x12 measurement.
