SCI Cambridge Springs

Cambridge Springs State Correctional Institution is a minimum security prison that houses adult females.  This correctional institution can house approximately 1,020 inmates and employs over 311 people.  Cambridge Springs is comprised of six units, five of which are occupied.  Inmates are housed in dormitories and bunked cells.  Programs offered include sex offenders treatment, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, parenting courses, victim awareness, and multiple programs aimed at modifying aggressive behavior.  Offenders at Cambridge Springs can earn a GED during their incarceration, and receive vocational training in cosmetology, custodial maintenance, and in lens crafting/optical glass manufacturing.

Inmates at Cambridge Springs Correctional Institution who have completed the six month vocational training in optics can become a certified optician and work in the Correctional Industries earning a wage manufacturing glasses in an optical lab.  The eyeglasses the inmates create will be used by inmates throughout Pennsylvania DOC facilities.  Offenders can also participate in the Community Work Program cleaning highways, county fair grounds, and local parks.  Additionally, inmates can work in interior painting and performing custodial work for churches and the local Nation Guard Base.

Visiting Hours at Cambridge Springs State Correctional Institution:

Visitors at Cambridge Springs State Correctional Institution are allowed to bring up to $35 in small bills and coins in a small clear Ziploc bag.  Visiting at SCI Cambridge Springs occurs on the following schedule:

• Mondays from 8:45am-3:30pm
• Fridays from 8:45am-3:30pm
• Saturdays from 8:45am-3:30pm
• Sundays from 8:45am-3:30pm
