Desoto Annex

Desoto Annex is located in Arcadia Florida.  It is a level V facility that houses approximately 1,450 adult male inmates.  The custody levels at this institution are minimum, medium and closed custody inmates.  Educational programs offered at this facility include mandatory literacy for all inmates, adult basic education courses and the ability for inmates to earn their GED.  Inmates are encouraged to take part in the academics offered as it may increase their chances of obtaining a job once they are released.

Vocational programs offered at this institution include carpentry, masonry and welding.  Inmates can also take computer training courses, victim awareness, journaling, yoga, and a variety of religious studies.

Visiting Hours at Desoto Annex:

Visiting occurs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 3pm.  Visitors can arrive as early as 7:30am to the parking lot.  Registration begins at 8:15am and ends at 2pm.  If you do not arrive by 2pm you will not be allowed to visit.  All visitors must have an approved visitors application on file before visiting.
