Arizona State Prison Complex Douglas is comprised of five separate units.  The Units are Eggers, Gila, Mohave, Papago, and the Complex Detention Unit.  Each unit specializes in a certain classification of inmate, with the Complex Detention Unit housing the most dangerous and unruly offenders.  Their are different programs available at each facility, with basic adult and GED education available at all of the units.

Some of the treatment programs available at ASPC Douglas include a Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous group, substance abuse treatment and a new program aimed at helping inmates with their reentry into society called 'Merging Two Worlds'.  Their are also several different types of work detail that inmates can participate in.  Road and general labor crews, building and vehicle maintenance and fire crews are just some of the institution employment opportunities that inmates can participate in. 

Visiting Hours at Arizona Prison Complex Douglas:

Below is the breakdown by unit of the visiting hours for all the facilities that comprise ASPC Douglas.  Please note that they all have the same visiting days and hours except for the Complex Detention Unit (CDU).

ASPC Douglas, Eggers Unit, Gila Unit, Mohave Unit, and Papago Unit have the following visiting hours:  Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 8:00am-4:00pm.  Visitors who arrive after 3:00pm will not be admitted to visitation, again you must arrive sometime before 3pm.

Complex Detention Unit has non-contact visitation by appointment only.  You must schedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.  Visiting is on Tuesdays 10:30am-12:30pm and again at 12:30pm-2:30pm.
