Eyman Arizona State Prison Complex

Arizona State Prison Complex Eyman is comprised of five separate units; Browning, Cook, Meadows, Rynning and the SMU I unit.  Each unit has different types of offenders and offers slightly different programs.  The two programs they all seem to have are basic adult education and GDE courses so an inmate can earn a high school equivalency diploma.

Eyman prison complex has a variety of programs and work that inmates can participate in.  A license plate factory run by inmates really does exist and is part of the Eyman complex.  Other jobs inmates can do are work in the laundry or bakery.  This facility offers substance abuse treatments and mental health programs that are aimed to improve impulsiveness in inmates, as well as curbing aggression.  Vocational skills that inmates can learn at this facility include, culinary arts, business management, construction, plumbing and custodial skills.

Visiting Hours at ASPC Eyman:

Visiting days at ASPC Eyman will depend on what unit the inmate is incarcerated in.

Browning Unit has visitation on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in three visiting blocks each day; 8am-10am, 11am-1pm, and 1:45pm-3:45pm.  Check in for visitation starts 20 minutes prior to each visiting period.  Visits are two hours long and an inmate can have up to 4 visitors at a time.  Visitation for this unit is by appointment only, you must call 520-868-8520 Tuesday-Thursday (8:30am-3:00pm) to schedule an appointment.  The visitation must be scheduled at least one day in advance and no more than one week in advance.

Cook Unit has visitation divided up by what phase the inmate is in.
Phase 1 and non-contact visitation are on Fridays in two blocks, first from 8am-12pm and 12pm-4pm.  Phase 1 is allowed a single 4 hour visit, while non contact visits are 2 hours long but by appointment only.
Phase 2 and Phase 3 have visitation on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-12pm and again at 12pm-4pm.  Phase 2 is allowed three 4 hour visits per week.  Phase 3 can have up to four 4 hour visits per week.  If you are visiting an inmate you must arrive no later than 10am for the first slot, and 2pm for the second slot.  If you arrive later than this you will not be allowed to visit.

Meadows unit has visitations on Saturday and Sundays, 8am-12pm and again from 12pm-4pm.  Inmates in this unit are divided into phases and the phase will determine which block they are allowed to have visitation.

Rynning Unit has contact visitations on Saturday and Sundays from 8am-12pm and again at 12pm-4pm.  You must sign in to visitation before 10am for the first block and before 2pm for the second block or you will not be allowed to visit.  Non-contact visits are on Friday for building 3 at 8am-10am, 11am-1pm, and 1:45-3:45pm.  Buildings 4, 5, 6, and 7 have non-contact visits on Tuesday 8am-10am and again from 11am-1pm.  Non contact visitations require you schedule an appointment at least 24 hours in advance by calling 520-868-8524.
