Georgia State Prison
Georgia State Prison is located in Reidsville Georgia, part of Tattnall county. It has a current capacity of 1530 adult males who have been convicted of felony crimes. Inmates are housed in single cells and double bunked beds. Inmates can take academics including adult basic education and GED courses, and can also participate in various work details including supervised support positions within the city of Reidsville and Evans County that include landscaping, maintenance, and construction.
The Chaplains office gives worship services and bible study to inmates who wish to participate in the program. Counseling for inmate who are preparing for re-entry into society, have a history of family violence, suffer from drug and alcohol abuse, and have life sentences are also available. Offenders can learn vocational skills in the following areas: mechanics, tile setting, welding, roofing, plumbing, painting, maintenance, landscaping, laundry, kitchen, electrical systems, carpentry, clerical, custodial, barbering and more.

Visiting is on Saturdays, Sundays, and State recognized Holidays from 9am-3pm.
