Gus Harrison Correctional Facility

Gus Harrison Correctional Facility is located in Adrian Michigan.  It is a multi custody facility that houses level I, secure level I, level II and level IV inmates.  Currently this prison has a capacity of 2,370 adult males.  The prison is named Gus Harrison after the first Michigan Department of Corrections Director.  Offenders can receive medical and dental treatment at this facility, and can participate in various work assignments, and vocational courses.  In addition, inmates can receive substance abuse treatment, group counseling and counseling for a variety of mental health issues.

Inmates are secured by two razor wire fences and two guard towers.  Electronic detection systems and routine patrols by vehicles ensures no inmates escape.
