Hernando Correctional Institution

Hernando Correctional Institution is located in Brooksville Florida.  It is a level III facility that currently holds approximately 470 adult female inmates.  The inmates are of a mixed custody level ranging from minimum, medium and closed custody.  Inmates have access to adult basic education courses and can earn their GED.  In addition to the educational opportunities, inmates also can participate in many substance abuse treatment programs including Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous and outpatient programs.

Hernando Correctional Institution has a re-entry program designed to help inmates who are about to be released by preparing them for the challenges they will face.  This program is designed to increase an inmate's chance of successful reintegration to society.

Visiting Hours at Hernando Correctional Institution:

Visiting hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3pm.  You must arrive before 2pm or you will not be allowed to visit.  Visitor registration begins at 8:15am.  You must fill out a visitors application and have it approved before you can attend a visiting session.
