Lansing Correctional Facility

Lansing Correctional Facility is located in Leavenworth County Kansas.  It is the largest and oldest prison in the state with the ability to house over 2,445 adult males.  The prison itself is comprised of a Central Unit which houses maximum and medium security inmates, and the East Unit which houses minimum security offenders.  Inmates housed at this prison can receive sex offender and substance abuse treatment.  Offenders also have education programs available to them, and are encouraged to earn their GED while incarcerated.  Inmates are also encouraged to take vocational training which teaches them a new skill they can use for employment once they are released.
