Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center
Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center is a minimum security facility that treats two very different populations: those who were found guilty of a crime and sentenced to treatment by the court, and those who were civilly committed and are participating in a 90-day detoxification program. All of the commitments at this institution are males.
This facility has an education program designed for friends and family members of those committed. The program covers available aftercare, and the values of the program. In addition, educational programs that discuss men's health issues are taught here.
Visiting Hours at Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center:
Anyone who was civilly committed to receive a 30-day substance abuse treatment is not eligible for visits. Minimum security inmates sentenced to the facility have visiting Sundays and Mondays from 3:15pm-6:45pm and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm.
