Massachusetts Correctional Institution Plymouth

Massachusetts Correctional Institution Plymouth, called MCI Plymouth for short, is located in South Carver Massachusetts.  It is a minimum and pre-release facility that prepares inmates for an upcoming release.  This prison can hold over 210 adult males.  The pre-release aspect of this prison allows inmates who have 18 months or less of their sentence left to participate in a work release program within the surrounding community.  The pre-release program has proven safe and effective at preparing inmates for reintegration with society.

Several complementary programs are available for inmates to take part in during the pre-release phase.  Inmates can earn an adult basic education and GED, as well as take vocational studies in automotive repair and substance abuse counseling/treatment through Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous groups.

Visiting Hours at MCI Plymouth:

Visits are conducted on Wednesdays and Fridays for all inmates from 6pm-8:45pm.  All inmates can have visits on Saturdays and Sundays from 6pm-8:45pm.  In addition, inmates with a last name ending in A-L have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3:45pm, and inmates with a last name ending in M-Z have visits on Sundays from 1pm-3:45pm.
