Missouri River Correctional Center

Missouri River Correctional Center is minimum security prison located in Bismarck North Dakota.  This Correctional Center has a maximum capacity of 151 male inmates.  The facility is comprised of one housing unit with twelve dorms.  All inmates are provided education, medical/dental services, and substance abuse treatment.  Most of the inmates at this facility are nearing the end of their sentence, because of this Missouri River Correctional Center places a strong emphasis on re-entry.

Inmates at Missouri River Correctional Center are not considered a security risk, because of this no security fence is needed and inmates are provided a higher level of freedom than higher custody level prisons.  All inmates at this facility are encouraged to either work or be currently enrolled in schooling.  Work detail available within the prison includes custodial work, building maintenance, and working in the kitchen.  Inmates can also be granted a work or educational release where they will report to a job or schooling during the day and come back to the facility when their shift ends.

Visiting Hours at Missouri River Correctional Center:

All visitors must have an approved visitors application on file in order to attend a visiting session.  Visiting occurs on:

• Fridays from 6pm-8pm
• Saturdays from 8am-3pm
• Sundays 8am-3pm
