New Lisbon Correctional Institution

New Lisbon Correctional Institution is a medium security prison located in New Lisbon Wisconsin.  The facility opened in 2004 with an operating capacity of 950 adult male inmates, and currently houses around 1,016 offenders.  New Lisbon Correctional Institution consists of two housing units with 500 cells, and a 50 bed segregation unit.  Inmates have access to a library, religious worship services, necessary medical and dental treatment, and schooling.  During their incarceration inmates can receive an adult basic education and take GED testing to earn a diploma.  Rehabilitation treatments at New Lisbon Correctional Institution include domestic violence/conflict resolution counseling, pre-release programming, and a sex offender treatment program.

New Lisbon Correctional Institution provides vocational training in horticulture and certification in commercial baking.  Additional correspondence courses allow offenders to earn a post secondary education.  New Lisbon Correctional Institution participates in the Badger State Industries program and provides work assignments for inmates which include hydro-stripping.  The hydro-stripping operation repairs and remanufactures signs for use on highways/roads.  Offenders can also work within the institution in supportive positions providing janitorial services, maintenance, and tutoring to other inmates.

Visiting Hours at New Lisbon Correctional Institution:

Inmates at New Lisbon Correctional Institution are allowed three visits per week, with only one of the visits occurring on the weekend.  Processing of visitors will end one hour prior to the end of the visiting times.  Visits occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:15pm-8:45pm, and on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 8am-3:45pm.  For more information read the New Lisbon Correctional Institution Visitors Guide here.
