Northwest Florida Reception Center and Annex

Northwest Florida Reception Center and Annex is located in Chipley Florida, part of Washington county.  It is a level V facility that houses approximately 1,300 male adult inmates of minimum, medium and closed custody levels.  The annex houses about 1,415 inmates.  Although this institution has no vocational programs, inmates have access to educational courses that enable them to earn an adult basic education and earn a GED.  Inmates can also work on public work crews and other interagency service squads.

Through the Chaplains office inmates can participate in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as take religious based programs and participate in worshiping services.  Offenders can also receive substance abuse treatment through an outpatient program.

Visiting Hours at Northwest Florida Reception Center and Annex:

All visitors must have filled out a visitors application and it must be approved before they can visit.  Once approved, you may visit on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3pm.  Each visitor must register for visitation when they arrive at the facility.  Registration begins at 8:15am and ends at 2pm.  If you do not arrive and register by 2pm you will not be allowed to visit.  You can arrive at the institution parking lot no earlier than 7:30am.  All times are in Eastern Standard time.
