Norton Correctional Facility

Norton Correctional Facility is located in Norton County Kansas.  The prison can house about 835 adult males from medium to minimum custody.  This facility also operates a satellite unit at Stockton which can house 128 minimum custody offenders.  Inmates are encouraged to take vocational and educational programs while they are incarcerated, this gives them a greater chance at obtaining a job once they are released.  Classes range from construction and building maintenance to reading, math, and writing courses.  Group and individual therapy is available and cover a range of issues from anger management to parenting and inter-relationship skills.

Offenders at Norton Correctional Facility can also work with animals in the second chance homeless pet society program that lets inmates train and groom dogs that are up for adoption.  Mental health services and medical services are also available.
