Oshkosh Correctional Institution

Oshkosh Correctional Institution is a medium security prison located in Winnebago County Wisconsin.  This prison opened in 1986, is situated on 273 acres (96 acres of which are within the secure perimeter).  Oshkosh Correctional Institution currently houses about 2,055 adult male inmates.  Offenders are housed in twelve housing units some of which are open dormitories others are multi-occupancy cells.

Oshkosh Correctional Institution provides medical, dental and mental health services to all inmates.  Vocational programs at this facility include data entry, culinary services, horticulture, custodial and building maintenance.  Additional programs at Oshkosh Correctional Facility include a 36 month sex offender treatment program, domestic violence counseling, victim impact group, cognitive intervention program, and various self help groups including Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous.

Visiting Hours at Oshkosh Correctional Institution:

Inmates at Oshkosh Correctional Institution are allowed up to three visits per week, one of which may occur on the weekend.  Visits may be up to three hours in length during the weekdays, and two hours on weekends and Holidays.  Visitors are not processed during the count at 12:25pm and 4:40pm.  For additional information read the Oshkosh Correctional Institution Visitors Guide here.  The visitation hours at Oshkosh Correctional Institution are as follows:

  • General Population offenders have visits on:
    • Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3pm-9pm.
    • Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays from 8am-4pm.
  • Segregation inmates have tele-visits that are limited to one hour in duration during the same times as general population offenders.
