Southern Maryland Pre-Release Unit

Southern Maryland Pre-Release Unit is located in Charlotte Hall Maryland.  It is a pre-release facility which has a low custody level and houses approximately 165 adult males.  This facility is responsible for preparing inmates for their upcoming release back into society.  Inmates may also participate in a work release program which allows them to report to a job during the day and return to the facility at the end of their shift.

Visiting Hours at Southern Maryland Pre-Release Unit:

Visiting is on Mondays and Fridays from 7pm-9pm.  Visiting is also on Saturdays and Sundays in two sessions each day, a morning and an afternoon session.  The visit is scheduled according to the first letter of the inmate's last name.  Saturday 11am-1pm is for inmates A-L, 2pm-4pm is for inmates M-Z.  Sundays 11am-1pm is for inmates M-Z, and spm-4pm is for inmates A-L.
