Stillwater Correctional Facility
Stillwater Correctional Facility is located in Bayport Minnesota. It is a close custody facility that houses level II minimum offenders and level IV close custody offenders. The minimum unit is located outside of the main perimeter fence, and many of the inmates offer supportive roles within the institution. Offenders at Stillwater Correctional Facility can participate in vocational programs offered through the Minnesota Correctional Industries that include woodworking, metalworking, upholstery, warehousing, and furniture manufacturing.
One of the more unique facts about this prison is that it is where "The Prison Mirror" newspaper is written and printed. A substance abuse program and educational courses that allow inmates to earn a GED and adult basic education are also available.
Visiting Hours at Stillwater Correctional Facility:
- General population inmates have visitation on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:15am-7:45pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:15am-5:45pm. Inmates will not be processed into visitation during the 11am-12pm count and the 3pm-4pm count. Weekday visits may be two hours in duration, weekend visits are one hour in duration. You must arrive one hour prior to the close of a visiting session or you will not be processed into visitation.
- Segregation inmate visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling 651-748-7909 on Thursdays or Fridays between 11am-7pm. Visits are one hour long and conducted on Fridays at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, Saturdays 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and Sundays at 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm. All visits are done through video conferencing in the visiting room.
