Dillwyn Correctional Center

Dillwyn Correctional Center is a medium security level 2 facility that houses adult male offenders.  It also serves as a reception and classification center for male inmates entering the Virginia Department of Corrections.  The facility is comprised of the reception center, seven housing units, a recreation/programs building, and greenhouses.  Dillwyn Correctional Center participates in the Virginia Correctional Enterprise program employing inmates in a sheet metal shop.  Vocational training is offered to inmates in welding and plumbing.

Dillwyn Correctional Center allows inmates to work within the institution providing supportive services in laundry, landscaping, custodial maintenance, and in the kitchen.  Educational programs offered include adult basic education and GED classes.  Medical, mental health, and dental services are available to all inmates at Dillwyn Correctional Center.

Visiting Hours at Dillwyn Correctional Center:

Visits at Dillwyn Correctional Center occur on Saturdays and Sundays and rotate regularly, because of this you will need to contact the institution for the current visitation rotation times.
