Martinsburg Correctional Center

Martinsburg Correctional Center is an intake and classification facility located in Martinsburg West Virginia.  The prison is comprised of 120 beds and is responsible for the intake of inmates from regional jails and processing them into the West Virginia Department of Corrections.  The intake process starts with fingerprinting and photographing the inmate.  A full criminal history and background is taken through various interviews.  The offender is then tested and assessed and based on all of these metrics assigned an initial classification.  This classification and assessment will help determine which facility the offender will be permanently housed at.

Visiting Hours at Martinsburg Correctional Center:

Martinsburg Correctional Center is an intake facility, because of this, inmates are housed here for short periods of time and are not allowed visitation.  In order to visit your inmate you will need to wait for them to be processed through Martinsburg Correctional Center and assigned to a permanent facility, a process that usually takes 1-3 weeks.
