Homestead Correctional Institution

Homestead Correctional Institution is located in Dade county Florida.  It is a level IV facility that houses female inmates.  Currently this institution can hold approximately 668 offenders of minimum, medium, and closed custody.  Although this institution offers no substance abuse programs, it does allow inmates to participate in Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.  Some of the other programs offered are parenting and life skills classes, art and music courses, anger management and alternatives to violence.

Homestead Correctional Institution also offers inmates pre-release counseling which can help address some of the issues inmates may be worried about upon their release.  Other re-entry programs include self esteem courses and emotional well being programs.

Visiting Hours at Homestead Correctional Institution:

Visitors must be approved prior to attending a visitation session.  Visiting hours are 9am-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Registration for visiting occurs from 8:15am-2pm.  If you arrive after 2pm you will not be allowed to visit.
