Madison Correctional Institution

Madison Correctional Institution is located in Madison county Florida.  It is a level IV facility that houses male adult offenders.  The current capacity of this institution is approximately 1,190 minimum, medium and closed custody inmates.  Offenders who are incarcerated here can participate in a culinary arts vocational program, as well as get substance abuse treatment in an outpatient program.

Inmates can also take educational courses in which they can earn their GED or adult basic education.  Typing and literacy programs are also available to offenders.  This facility participates in the P.R.I.D.E. program that allows inmates to work in a textile and shoe factory.  Inmates at the work camp can participate in work crews for the department of transportation, and other interagency services.

Visiting Hours at Madison Correctional Institution:

Visiting is on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3pm.  All inmates must be approved by filing a visitors application prior to their visit.  All visitors must register for visitation when they arrive at the facility.  Registration for visitation is from 8:15am-2pm.  Anyone arriving after 2pm will not be admitted to visitation.
