Okeechobee Correctional Institution

Okeechobee Correctional Institution is located in Okeechobee Florida.  The facility currently holds approximately 1,632 male adult inmates of minimum, medium and closed custody levels.  The institution is considered a level VI facility.  Currently there are no vocational or educational programs offered accept for the voluntary literacy program.  Anger and stress management courses are offered through a betterment program, as well as a pre-release preparation program.

Inmates can participate in substance abuse treatment programs including an intensive outpatient program.  The chaplain's office offers inmates various faith based programs and worship sessions.

Visiting Hours at Okeechobee Correctional Institution:

All visitors must fill out a visiting application and have it approved before they can attend a visiting session.  Visitation occurs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3pm.  Every visitor must register when they arrive at the facility.  Registration begins at 8:15am and ends at 2pm.  Anyone arriving after 2pm will not be admitted to visitation.
