Arrendale State Prison

Arrendale State Prison is located in Alto Georgia, part of Habersham county.  It can house approximately 1,476 female inmates both adult and juvenile.  This facility is responsible for diagnostic and classification of inmates statewide.  Inmates incarcerated here can also receive substance abuse treatment within the facility.

This facility allows inmates to earn their GED, adult basic education, and helps inmates learn to read if they need to.  Vocational opportunities at this institution include auto repair/maintenance, carpentry, cosmetology, electrical systems, welding, culinary arts, farming, fire services, veterinary technician training and farm hands.

Visiting Hours at Arrendale State Prison:

All visitors must first fill out a visiting application and wait to be approved.  Visiting hours at Arrendale State Prison are 9am-3pm on alternated Saturdays and Sundays.  For example Saturdays are sometimes for inmates with the last name L-Z and Sundays would be for inmates with the last name A-K.  The inmates are rotated between these two days every 90 days so be sure to check with the facility to see which rotation they are currently in.  State holidays are open to all inmates from 9am-3pm.
