St. Louis Correctional Facility

St. Louis Correctional Facility is located in Gratiot County Michigan.  It is a level IV facility that can house 1,176 adult males.  Inmates in the general population are housed in one of six housing units, in addition there is an Adaptive skills residential program unit, and a segregation unit.  This prison is secured by two fences covered in razor wire, a perimeter electronic detection system, armed patrol and cameras.

Inmates incarcerated here can receive medical and dental treatment on site.  In addition, offenders can take adult basic education courses, and earn their GED.  Mental health treatment programs to reduce violence and encourage critical thinking as well as substance abuse treatment is also available.
