Garden State Youth Correctional Facility

Garden State Youth Correctional Facility is located in Crosswicks New Jersey, part of Burlington County.  It is a mixed custody facility that has a dedicated minimum security unit and a main facility that houses medium to maximum security youthful offenders.  Offenders at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility are required to participate in a full day of vocational training, educational classes or work.  Offenders can earn their high school diploma while incarcerated here, and can take vocational courses in culinary arts, automotive and auto body repair, paralegal training, and barbering.

The minimum unit at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility selects certain inmates to perform supportive roles for the institution, including janitorial work, maintenance, and landscaping.

Visiting Hours at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility:

Visiting is on Saturdays and Sundays, the time of visiting will depend on the custody level of the inmate.  A maximum of four adults and five children is allowed if space permits.  Inmates are allowed one visit per week.

• Medium Custody and Above inmates have visiting on:
  • Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am-11:00am and 1:30pm-3:15pm.  Registration is from 8:15am-9:15am for the morning session and from 12:15pm-1:15pm for the afternoon session.
• Minimum Security Unit (Full Minimum) has visitation on:
  • Saturdays and Sundays from 7pm-8:30pm.  Registration is from 5:45pm-6:45pm.
