Albion Correctional Facility

Albion Correctional Facility is located Orleans County New York.  It is a medium security prison that houses up to 1,243 adult female inmates.  While incarcerated here inmates can work within the Correctional Industries program earning a wage for work in an engraved sign and metal shop.  Additionally, offenders can learn vocational skills in cosmetology, custodial and building maintenance, horticulture and general business.  Academic courses taught at Albion Correctional Facility include adult basic education, high school education, special education, GED programs and the can even take college courses to earn an associates in liberal studies or credits at Medaille College.

Albion Correctional Facility offers a multitude of substance abuse treatment services, and religious services to offenders.  Inmates incarcerated here can also receive sex offender treatment and counseling as part of the SOCTP program which can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the risk level of the offender.

Visiting Hours at Albion Correctional Facility:

Visiting alternates Saturdays and Sundays by the inmates last name, you will need to contact the facility for the current rotation.  Visiting occurs from 8am-2:30pm.  The processing of visitors ends at 2pm.  A maximum of five visitors can visit an inmate at a time.  Their is no limit to the number of visits an inmate can receive.  Offenders housed in the SHU (special housing unit) are allowed one visit every seven days, visitation for the SHU is 7 days a week from 8am-2:30pm (processing of visitors ends at 2pm).
