Wyoming Correctional Facility

Wyoming Correctional Facility is a medium security prison located in Attica New York, part of Wyoming County.  The current capacity of this prison is approximately 1,712 inmates.  Offenders who do not have a high school diploma or GED will be required to take courses towards the goal of earning a GED.  Those inmates who already have a GED can take college level courses and earn credits through the Consortium of the Niagara Frontier.

Wyoming Correctional Facility offers inmates vocational training in computers, electrical, building/custodial maintenance, flooring, HVAC, upholstery, small engine repair, horticulture, and welding.  Inmates who are veterans can participate in the Incarcerated Veterans Program which offers guidance and counseling.  Offenders can also receive alcohol and substance abuse treatment at this facility.

Visiting Hours at Wyoming Correctional Facility:

Wyoming Correctional Facility utilizes an odd/even visiting schedule based on the last digit of the inmate's DIN.  Offenders with a last digit that is even will have visiting on Saturdays and Sundays that have even dates.  Offenders with a last digit that is odd will have visiting on odd Saturdays and Sundays.  Holidays are open to all inmates.  Visiting occurs on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 8:30am-3:30pm.  Processing of visitors ends at 2:30pm.  Inmates are allowed up to three visitors, children who are small enough to sit on a visitors lap will not count against this number.
