Holman Correctional Facility
Holman correctional facility is home to over 1000 inmates ranging custody levels anywhere from minimum all the way to closed custody/death row inmates. Holman is the facility that carries out all executions for death row inmates in Alabama, and is perhaps one of the most feared facilities to be incarcerated in because of it being a 'last stop' for many inmates. Please note that their is no evidence to support this facility being any more dangerous or violent then other institutions in Alabama. The facility also boasts a segregation unit that can hold 200 inmates.
This facility was the topic of a documentary called Lockup:Holman which premiered in 2006. The documentary about this institution covered the notorious reputation Holman has for being the most violent prison in all of Alabama. If your inmate is incarcerated here don't worry, recent reports have shown a huge decrease in the violence levels at Holman and it's reputation comes from what the facility was like 10-20 years ago.
Visiting Hours at Holman Correctional Facility:
Visiting at Holman is restricted to immediate family members only. Inmates have alternating visitation days which is based on the first letter of the inmate's last name. Because the schedule rotates, you will need to contact the inmate either over the phone or by letter to see which day and time you can visit them.
