Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center
Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center is located in Vinita Oklahoma. It is a minimum security prison that houses 501 adult male offenders. The majority of inmates at Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center are incarcerated for non-violent crimes, most of which are drug related. Inmates at this prison operate a commercial beef herd and bale approximately 1,000 tons of hay each year. Offenders can also work through the prisoner public works program which provides services for the surrounding community and the Oklahoma forensic center.
Inmates at Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center are provided routine dental, medical and mental health services. Additionally, offenders are encouraged to take advantage of the educational programs offered, which include literacy, adult basic education and the ability to obtain a GED. Religious services are offered to all inmate's through the Chaplain's office and include self help programs like Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Visiting Hours at Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center:
Inmates at Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center have visitation on Saturdays, Sundays and state recognized holidays from 8:30am-3:30pm. Level 1 inmates are allowed a single hour of non-contact visitation per week. Level 2 inmates can have up to four hours of visits each week, level 3 ofenders are allowed 6 hours of visiting a week and level 4 inmates are allowed up to 8 hours of visitation per week.
