Oklahoma City Community Corrections Center
Oklahoma City Community Corrections Center is a minimum/community based correctional facility that houses male offenders who are preparing to be released. The vast majority of offenders are incarcerated for drug and other non-violent offenses. Inmates at Oklahoma City Community Corrections Center may be eligible to participate in the work release program if they have no more than 1,095 days of their sentence left. Work release allowed the inmate to become employed, attend their job during the day and report back to the prison at the end of their shift. Work release enables the inmate to pay child support, court fee's and fines, restitution, and helps prepare the inmate with a solid working foundation for when they are released out of custody.
Offenders at Oklahoma City Community Corrections Center are encouraged to obtain an adult basic education and GED if they do not possess a diploma. Additional educational courses in literacy, Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous, welding, and other self help programs are available to all inmates. Substance abuse treatment in the form of a 16 week program available to inmates at this facility is an important cornerstone of relapse prevention and the success of an inmate's rehabilitation.
