USP Beaumont is a high security United States Penitentiary located in Beaumont Texas, part of Jefferson County. Originally designed to house 960 inmates when it opened in 1998, today USP Beaumont incarcerates approximately 1,400 male offenders. Located adjacent to the main facility, USP Beaumont operates a minimum security satellite camp which houses an additional 560 inmates.
