Currently the capacity of this facility is about 444. Inmates are housed in twelve open dormitories. This facility is also responsible for housing about 200 probation violators.
Valdosta State Prison is located in Lowndes county Georgia. It is a closed custody facility that houses approximately 1,312 adult males. This facility has work programs that allow some inmates to work in a chemical plant that manufactures cleaning supplies for use in many of the facilities in Georgia.
