All inmates in Nevada are allowed to send and receive mail.  Facilities deliver mail Monday through Friday excluding holidays.  At no time should you send any items to an inmate other then letters and photos, all other allowable items must come directly from an approved vendor.  When sending letters you should always include your complete return address and include the inmate's name and ID number on the envelope.

Ely State Prison is a maximum security facility located in White Pine County Nevada.  It can currently house approximately 1,185 adult male inmates.  Ely State Prison participates in the Nevada Prison Industries employing inmates in the production of draperies, which are used internationally.  Offenders can earn a GED and adult basic education while serving their sentence.

Work Ethic Camp is located in McCook Nebraska.  It is a program that lasts no longer than 180 days and addresses an individual inmates personal rehabilitation needs.  It is a transition facility that helps prepare inmates who are preparing to be released onto probation, parole, or community custody.  Currently this facility can house 200 adult males.

Omaha Correctional Center is a mixed custody facility that houses medium and minimum security inmates.  Offenders are housed in single, double and multiple occupancy cells depending on their security level.  Omaha Correctional Center has a current capacity of 712 inmates.  This prison has an indoor and outdoor visitation area.

Nebraska State Penitentiary is located in Lincoln Nebraska.  It was first opened in 1869 making it the oldest prison in the state.  It currently is a mixed custody facility housing minimum, medium and maximum security adult males.  The current population at this facility stands around 1100 inmates.

Nebraska Correctional Center for Women is located in York Nebraska.  It is responsible for housing minimum, medium, and maximum custody female inmates.  Additionally, this facility performs court ordered evaluations, and houses safe keeper inmates from the county jails.  Nebraska Correctional Center for Women can house up to 275 offenders.
