Sending Mail to Inmates in Nebraska

Inmates incarcerated in Nebraska are allowed to send mail to anyone with the exception of other inmates, and victims.  An inmate may also receive mail from anyone.  All incoming mail is opened, may be read, and inspected for contraband with the exception of privileged/legal mail, which may still be opened and inspected in the presence of the inmate, but not read.  Inmates who are not indigent must purchase pre-stamped envelopes from the canteen, they are allowed up to 40 pre-stamped envelopes in their possession.

The Community Corrections Center in Lincoln Nebraska is a minimum custody work release center for both male and female inmates.  Currently Community Corrections Center Lincoln has a capacity of 88 females and 312 males.  The facility itself is comprised of four housing units, three of which are male units, one is a female unit.

Riverside Youth Correctional Facility is located in Boulder Montana.  It is juvenile detention facility for over twenty youthful females (aged 10-17).  Inmates are provided substance abuse treatment and required to attend eight hours of schooling every weekday, all year round.  Offenders can obtain a diploma while incarcerated here.

Montana State Prison is located in Deer Lodge Montana.  The prison can house up to 1,495 adult male inmates.  This facility is responsible for six custody levels, minimum I, minimum II, medium I, medium II, maximum and closed custody.  Offenders are housed in one of three compounds depending on their security level.  Inmates are secured by two fences and a large wall with razor wire.
