East Jersey State Prison is located in Rahway New Jersey, part of Middlesex County.  It houses approximately 1,500 adult male offenders of minimum, medium and maximum security.  The prisons distinctive large dome and forbidding front gates have made it featured in many films and shows.

Bayside State Prison is located in Leesburg New Jersey, part of Cumberland County.  Bayside Prison was formerly called Leesburg State Prison, until it was renamed in 1988.  This facility is comprised of three units, the Farm, the Medium facility, and Ancora.  Inmates incarcerated here can receive medical, psychiatric, and dental treatment, in addition to vocational and educational classes.

There is no limit to the number of people who can correspond with an inmate, nor is there a limit to the amount of correspondence can send or receive.  Offenders are allowed to have up to 80 postage stamps in their possession (they must purchase the stamps from the commissary).  All incoming and outgoing mail is opened, inspected and read with the exception of legal mail.

Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility is located in Berlin New Hampshire.  It is a mixed custody facility that houses minimum and medium custody offenders.  This prison currently houses 640 male inmates and has a maximum capacity of 740 offenders.  It is currently the newest prison in New Hampshire and was opened in 2000.
