Segovia Unit is a minimum security prison located in Edinburg Texas, part of Hidalgo County.  Segovia Unit has a maximum capacity of 1,224 male offenders and is located on 300 acres it shares with the Lopez Unit.  This facility is sometimes referred to as the "Lopez/Segovia Complex."  The unit is comprised of twenty acres with a perimeter consisting of double razor wire fences and electronic detection systems.

Wayne Scott Unit

Scott Unit, formerly known as Retrieve Unit, is a mixed custody high security prison located in Angleton Texas.  Scott Unit is located on over 5,780 acres of land, 50 acres of which are inside a secure perimeter that contains the majority of offenders.  The maximum capacity of Scott Unit is 809 inmates in the main unit and an additional 321 offenders in the Trusty Camp.

Walker Sayle Unit, commonly referred to as Sayle Unit, is a substance abuse felony punishment facility (SAFPF) located in Breckenridge Texas, part of Stephens County.  Sayle Unit can house up to 632 male offenders and specializes in the rehabilitation and treatment of inmates who suffer from addiction through the Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Program.

San Saba Transfer Facility, sometimes referred to as the San Saba Unit, is located in San Saba Texas and houses a maximum of 606 inmates.  At one time the San Saba Unit was an all male facility, but today it houses only adult female inmates with a current population of around 575.

Rogelio Sanchez State Jail

Rogelio Sanchez State Jail, sometimes referred to as Sanchez Unit, is a minimum security jail located in El Paso Texas.  The facility houses J1 to J2, and G1 to G2 offenders, as well as inmates who are currently in transit or have a transient status.  The maximum capacity of Sanchez Unit is 1,100 adult male offenders.

The Jim Rudd Transfer Facility, sometimes referred to as 'Rudd Unit', is a minimum security prison located in Brownfield Texas, part of Terry County.  The facility houses approximately 612 adult male offenders who range from G1 to G2 custody levels.

Robertson Unit is a maximum security prison located in Abilene Texas, part of Jones County.  The facility houses a mixture of custody levels from G1 minimum security to G5 maximum security.  Robertson Unit also serves as a regional release site for offenders who are nearly completed with their prison sentence.  Robertson Unit has a maximum capacity of 2,984 male offenders, and is situated on over 400 acres.

Roach Unit is a mixed custody facility located in Childress Texas that houses security levels G1, G2, and G4 inmates.  Currently, Roach Unit can house up to 1,384 adult males in the main unit, 100 males in the work camp, and an additional 400 offenders in the ISF Unit (Intermediate Sanction Facility).

Ramsey Unit is a mixed custody facility located in Rosharon Texas that houses inmates ranging from minimum to maximum security levels.  The current capacity of Ramsey Unit is 1,891 adult male inmates, with the main unit housing 1,570 offenders and the Trusty camp holding an additional 321 inmates.  Ramsey Unit is located on 14,667 acres of land it shares with Terrell and Stringfellow units.

Louis C. Powledge Unit

Powledge Unit is a minimum security prison located in Palestine Texas, part of Anderson County.  The facility has the capability to house 1,137 male offenders, and typically houses close to this limit.  Built in 1982, Powledge Unit was originally named Beto II Unit, and later in 1995 was renamed after the assistant director of Contract Construction Louis C. Powledge.
