Fort Dodge Correctional Facility is located in Webster County Iowa. It is a medium security prison that houses over 1,183 inmates. Originally designed to hold much less in two person cells, the facility now houses three inmates to a cell. Two fences with electronic monitoring ensures the inmates stay within the facility grounds.

To do this inmates are allowed to participate in a work release program where offenders can leave the facility to do supervised employment during the day and return to the institution at night.
