Arizona State Prison Complex Florence is made up of six individual facilities.  Inmates at Florence can be located in Central unit, Kasson, East, North, South and Globe.  All of the units with the exception of East over basic adult education and have a GED program.  East unit has a focus on reducing domestic violence and centers around shaping the way offenders think to try an lower aggression and impulsive behavior.

Arizona State Prison Complex Eyman is comprised of five separate units; Browning, Cook, Meadows, Rynning and the SMU I unit.  Each unit has different types of offenders and offers slightly different programs.  The two programs they all seem to have are basic adult education and GDE courses so an inmate can earn a high school equivalency diploma.

Arizona State Prison Complex Douglas is comprised of five separate units.  The Units are Eggers, Gila, Mohave, Papago, and the Complex Detention Unit.  Each unit specializes in a certain classification of inmate, with the Complex Detention Unit housing the most dangerous and unruly offenders.  Their are different programs available at each facility, with basic adult and GED education available at all of the units.

During the intake process inmates may submit a list of visitors to the staff.  They will fill out form 911-1 which is just a visitation list with a maximum of 20 visitors.  An inmate placing you on this form is just the first step, you will then need to fill out a visitors application and return it to the inmate or proper visiting office depending on the inmates location.  Here are a few important things you will need to know before you visit:

Arizona inmates are able to receive letters, cards that have no electronics in them, and photos.  

The photos must not be larger than 4"x6" and cannot contain nudity, sexually suggestive material, hand gestures (can be confused as gang symbols), and should not show tattoos.  

You can mail up to five photos at a time in an envelope with a one stamp.
